Urea 46N

UREA 46N
DGL Urea 46N – Highest Nitrogen Content Fertiliser for Vigorous Growth

DGL Urea 46N delivers 46% pure nitrogen (N) – the highest concentration among dry fertilisers – in prilled or granular form. Each granule provides amide nitrogen that converts to plant-available ammonium and nitrate through soil microbial action, ensuring efficient nutrient uptake across all crop types.

The fertiliser dissolves completely in water (545 g/L at 20°C), making it ideal for both soil application and fertigation systems. Its pH-neutral properties prevent long-term soil acidification, unlike ammonium-based fertilisers, while the high nitrogen content supports rapid vegetative growth during critical crop stages.

Advanced manufacturing processes ensure low biuret content (<1%) to prevent phytotoxicity, with anti-caking treatments maintaining free-flowing granules for precise mechanical application. The granular form (2-4 mm) resists moisture absorption and provides excellent spreading characteristics for uniform coverage.

Formula: Urea (CO(NH₂)₂) 46-0-0
• Nitrogen (N): 46% – Highest analysis among solid fertilisers.
• Biuret: <0.6% – Industry-standard purity.
• pH: 8.0–8.5 – Mildly alkaline in solution.

Ideal For:
• Cereals (maize, wheat, rice) – Pre-sowing or top-dressing.
• Vegetables (tomatoes, brassicas) – Corrects nitrogen deficiency rapidly.
• Fruit crops (citrus, mango) – Supports vegetative growth phases.
• Alkaline soils – Neutralises acidity during nitrification.

Do you know the nutrient content of your soil?

Ensuring your soil is a healthy and productive medium for your crops is among the most important things you can do as a farmer. Without the correct levels of nutrients, crops won’t achieve their maximum yield potential. Understanding your soil nutrients is a critical first step before purchasing fertilisers or other inputs (that you may not need!)
