Potassium Nitrate (KN)

POTASSIUM NITRATE (KN)
ICL Potassium Nitrate – Premium Water-Soluble Fertiliser for Fruit Quality & Disease Resistance

ICL Potassium Nitrate delivers a highly soluble combination of potassium (K₂O) and nitrogen (N) in nitrate form, providing immediate nutrient availability for crops. The dual-nutrient formula enhances fruit sugar content, colour development, and shelf life while strengthening plants' natural defences against environmental stresses.

With exceptional solubility (316 g/L at 20°C), KN is ideal for fertigation systems and foliar applications, ensuring rapid nutrient absorption without clogging irrigation equipment. The nitrate nitrogen component prevents soil acidification and promotes efficient uptake even in cool growing conditions when ammonium absorption may be limited.

The fertiliser's chloride-free composition makes it particularly valuable for chloride-sensitive crops like tobacco, avocados, and berries. Its low salt index minimises root damage risks, allowing safe application during critical growth stages when plants are most vulnerable to stress.

Formula: Potassium Nitrate (KNO₃) 13.5-0-46
• Nitrogen (N): 13.5% – Fast-acting nitrate form.
• Potassium (K₂O): 46% – Enhances fruit quality and drought resistance.
• Solubility: 316 g/L at 20°C – Fully water-soluble.

Ideal For:
• Fruit crops (tomatoes, grapes, citrus) – Improves brix and colour.
• Greenhouse vegetables – Fertigation during the fruiting stage.
• Chloride-sensitive crops (tobacco, avocado).
• Cold climate agriculture – Nitrate works in low temperatures.

Do you know the nutrient content of your soil?

Ensuring your soil is a healthy and productive medium for your crops is among the most important things you can do as a farmer. Without the correct levels of nutrients, crops won’t achieve their maximum yield potential. Understanding your soil nutrients is a critical first step before purchasing fertilisers or other inputs (that you may not need!)
