MEZZO
Nufarm Mezzo – Post-Emergence Herbicide for Dicotyledonous Weed Control in Cereals

Mezzo is a water-dispersible granule herbicide containing 20% metsulfuron-methyl, a sulfonylurea compound that inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS) in target weeds. This systemic herbicide provides exceptional flexibility, with efficacy maintained even at 0°C and no volatility concerns under field conditions.

The formulation delivers rapid absorption (rainfast within 1 hour) and excellent crop selectivity in wheat and other cereals. Its low application rate (typically 5–10 g/ha) minimises environmental impact while controlling both annual and perennial dicotyledonous weeds. Compatibility with tank mixes allows integration into broader weed management programmes.

Key Features:
• Broad-spectrum control: Targets key dicot weeds including Galium aparine and Matricaria spp.
• Temperature resilience: Effective from 0°C (optimal performance >5°C)
• Non-volatile: Safe for applications on frozen ground
• Tank-mix flexibility: Partners well with phenoxy herbicides

Do you know the nutrient content of your soil?

Ensuring your soil is a healthy and productive medium for your crops is among the most important things you can do as a farmer. Without the correct levels of nutrients, crops won’t achieve their maximum yield potential. Understanding your soil nutrients is a critical first step before purchasing fertilisers or other inputs (that you may not need!)
